The firm has a significant reputation as experienced and devoted advocates in the area of business and commercial litigation.  In 2003, the firm received national news attention for a case involving the target company of a failed acquisition.  In that case, a jury awarded a small Birmingham, Alabama based business a total of $6,000,000 against a large out of state corporation arising from improper conduct associated with a failed acquisition of the company.  More recently, the firm has been retained as co-counsel for the Receiver of several failed insurance companies to prosecute claims against those companies and individuals that caused the demise of the failed insurance companies.  The failure of these companies has affected policyholders across the country.

The firm devotes significant time and resources to business and commercial litigation.  Nearly all of these cases involve millions of dollars in damages.  Our experience and expertise in this area gives us the ability to organize and prosecute the most complex of cases.  We are very selective about those cases we elect to undertake.  Once a case is undertaken, we are disciplined and aggressive in its prosecution.
